Overview

The Welder II position at Frontgrade involves using welding techniques and machines to fabricate or repair metal parts while ensuring proper care of welding equipment. Frontgrade builds mission-critical electronics for demanding environments, emphasizing the importance of their workforce in achieving mission success.

Responsibilities

  • Operate welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Perform layout, cutting and welding work as required
  • Complete welding of components according to procedures
  • Arrange parts for welding and staging processes
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Set up welding machines based on specifications of the job
  • Use specialized gas metal arc welding techniques and equipment to join pieces of metal together
  • Work from specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in area of responsibility
  • Experience in manufacturing, technology, or aerospace and defense
  • Ability to set up welding machine for aluminum
