Overview

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to apply precise tack welds on small aluminum components. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions while working in a professional environment at Frontgrade, a company that builds mission-critical electronics.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-precision TIG welding and tack welding on aluminum parts.
• Use measurement tools such as micro-height gauges and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Lay out, fit, and tack parts and assemblies per blueprint specifications.
• Review and follow detailed process sheets and assembly instructions.
• Collaborate effectively with team members in a professional environment.
• Properly use and maintain all required PPE.
• Follow all safety and training requirements related to chemical and shop hazards.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Experience using precision measurement tools such as height gauges, calipers, and mechanical fixtures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience manipulating metal parts to tight tolerances.
• Experience working with aluminum and copper materials preferred.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and repeatability.
• Ability to perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify conformance to specifications.
• Comfortable documenting measurements and work performed per quality procedures.
• Understanding of shop safety practices and proper tool handling.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform assigned tasks reliably on 2nd shift.
