Overview

The HVAC Mechanic position requires a W2 employee of Donatech to perform repairs and maintenance on various HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
  • Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine necessary repair and maintenance work.
  • Use hand and power tools to troubleshoot, test, inspect, and repair machines and equipment.
  • Review and follow blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
  • Install, service, modify, rebuild, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Monitor and maintain centralized HVAC building automation systems.
  • Document and maintain records for the Maintenance Department.
  • Be physically capable of working in high places and able to lift over 50 lbs.
  • Work on an on-call basis and handle responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4 years of experience in HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Must own Basic HVAC Tools.
  • Must possess a Universal EPA License 608.
  • Must have an Active California Driver's License.
  • Ability to work 9/80A Schedule.
  • Experience working in one or more of the maintenance trades.
  • Familiarity with electrical/electronic components related to air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
  • Experience working within a Central Plant.
