Overview

Interstate Power Systems is seeking both certified and non-certified Welders/Millwrights for their Industrial division in Gillette, Wyoming. The role involves performing welding duties and mechanical maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment in industrial settings, supporting various sectors including mining, oil and gas, and power generation.

Responsibilities

• Perform plant maintenance, crusher rebuilds, conveyor repairs, and various welding repairs/projects.
• Conduct welding repairs to large mining equipment including shovels, draglines, and haul trucks.
• Fabricate according to prints.
• Utilize stick and wire feed (dual shield) welding techniques, with experience in hard wire and hard facing preferred.
• Maintain positive communication with service writers, foreman, parts department, and customers.
• Keep paperwork updated and submitted upon completion.
• Read blueprints and have at least 2 years of experience.
• Operate field boring and lathe machinery efficiently.

Requirements

• High school degree or G.E.D.
• At least 3 years of welding experience.
• Own a set of general tools.
• Technical degree or certification is a plus.
• Physically able to lift at least 50 pounds and work with no restrictions.
