Overview

Ingalls Shipbuilding is seeking a semi-skilled Pipe Welder to join their team, responsible for performing pipe welding procedures in a shipyard environment. The company has a long history of constructing naval ships and emphasizes safety and skill development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW).
  • Work in a manufacturing setting that may require working at different heights and in confined spaces.
  • Adhere to safety procedures that meet or exceed industry standards.

Requirements

  • Must have graduated from a pipe welder program at a vo-tech school or other training school.
  • Training must include TIG root and stick fill and cap on steel piping in the 6GR position.
  • Mississippi Tech Master Certification is a plus.
