Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Structural Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience fitting and assembling structural steel, reading blueprints, and preparing materials for welding.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
  • Lay out, position, align, and fit structural steel components.
  • Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials for fabrication.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and cutting equipment.
  • Prepare joints and components for welding.
  • Tack weld components when qualified.
  • Check measurements, alignment, and fit to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with material handling and positioning using appropriate lifting equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Requirements

  • Previous structural fitting or steel fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge of measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to accurately measure, align, and fit structural components.
  • Basic welding knowledge or tack welding experience is a plus.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
