Overview

Mid-Am Metal Forming is a metal fabrication company based in Rogersville, Missouri, specializing in architectural metal forming, fabrication, painting, and assembly. We are looking for a new team member to set up, maintain, and operate our Cincinnati brake presses, primarily working with lighter gauge aluminum.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine machine settings and tooling requirements
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, such as dies, punches, and clamps
  • Load metal sheets onto the machine and position them correctly for bending operations
  • Adjust machine settings to control speed, pressure, and bend angles
  • Monitor machine operation to ensure quality and accuracy of bends
  • Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired results
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance

Requirements

  • Experience operating press brake machines or similar equipment
  • Proficiency in using hand tools for setup and adjustment purposes
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
