Overview

This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for maintaining campus-wide hydronic heating, chilled water, natural gas, compressed air, and mechanical room piping systems while performing associated plumbing work involving domestic water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs and maintains water, sewer, steam, natural gas, and fire sprinkler systems.
  • Installs, modifies, fabricates, and repairs pressurized and specialized mechanical piping systems.
  • Repairs and installations of domestic water systems and fire sprinkler system piping.
  • Performs precision pipe fabrication using pipe machines, torches, and specialized measurement tools.
  • Assists with the installation/repair of mechanical pumping systems.
  • Balances hydronic systems to maintain proper circulation and temperature distribution.
