Overview

DC Fabricators (DCF) is seeking a talented Fitter/Fabricator (2nd Shift) to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in Florence, NJ, where you'll be part of a skilled team delivering high-quality components with a focus on precision and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Fit and align parts to meet drawing specifications and prepare components for welding.
• Perform fabrication tasks including plasma cutting, gas burning, grinding, and material preparation.
• Ensure proper alignment and fit-up of components while accounting for weld distortion and tolerances.
• Safely handle assemblies using overhead cranes and other material handling equipment.
• Manufacture components using various raw materials, tools, and hand tools.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, including assisting with training as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable MIL specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or trade school certification required.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant fabrication experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with fabrication tools including welding equipment, plate cutting tools, and grinders.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and material handling equipment safely.
• Strong understanding of metal properties and materials used in fabrication.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and manual dexterity.
• Basic computer skills required.
• US citizenship required.

Additional Information

• This position is for the 2nd Shift, with hours from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
• The position is located at the manufacturing facility in Florence, NJ.
