Overview

BWXT/DC Fabricators (DCF) is seeking motivated college students for internship opportunities at their manufacturing facility in Florence, NJ. Interns will collaborate across departments to support efficient operations and ensure high-quality component production.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams on real production projects.
  • Assist mechanical and industrial engineers with design work, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Observe and support welding, fabrication, and machining operations.
  • Help coordinate materials, inventory, and supplier activity.
  • Collect and analyze production data, and present findings to the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, welding/manufacturing technology, supply chain, or related degree or certificate program.
  • Relevant coursework or certifications (e.g., CAD, Six Sigma, AWS welding) are a plus.
  • No prior industry experience required; hands-on training and mentorship provided.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office); familiarity with CAD or ERP software is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
  • US citizenship is required.
