Overview

Xylem is a Fortune 500 global water solutions company focused on sustainable impact and innovative technology. They are seeking a dependable and skilled Mechanic – Pump Repair to maintain the reliability of pumping equipment, ensuring efficient operation for customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, inspection, and repair of fleet pumping equipment
• Diagnose issues and identify required repairs or parts
• Accurately document service and repair activities on work orders
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation
• Conduct preventative maintenance on shop tools and equipment
• Assist with equipment preparation and staging for customer use
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours repairs and support
• Communicate clearly with team members and management regarding status and needs
• Maintain safe, organized, and efficient working conditions

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; experience with diesel engines or pumps is a plus
• Experience in equipment repair, maintenance, or general mechanics preferred
• Ability to operate a forklift; certification preferred but not required
• Comfortable with documentation and paperwork
• Able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds, with regular standing, bending, and stooping
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
• Willingness to learn and grow in a supportive team environment
• Effective communication skills, including use of radios or mobile devices
