Overview
TEAM, Inc. is a global leader in integrated asset integrity solutions, seeking a motivated and reliable Level II Heat Treat Technician with experience in Electrical Resistance Methods. This role involves executing thermal operations such as post weld heat treatment (PWHT) and requires a strong commitment to safety and performance excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform setup, operation, and breakdown of electrical resistance heating systems.
- Execute post weld heat treatment (PWHT) and preheat activities according to specifications.
- Lay out and install heat treating blankets, insulation, and thermocouples.
- Program, monitor, and record temperature cycles using control units.
- Interpret technical documents related to heat treatment.
- Troubleshoot equipment and temperature control issues during operations.
- Provide on-site coordination with welders, inspectors, and clients.
- Maintain accurate records of heat cycles and equipment logs.
- Follow safety procedures involving electrical equipment and elevated temperatures.
- Train or mentor assistants and junior technicians as assigned.
- Perform general labor duties related to rigging and equipment setup.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
- Must be able to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience performing electrical resistance heat treating.
- Strong knowledge of ceramic heating pads and thermocouple application.
- Familiarity with weld joint preparation and applicable codes.
- Ability to read P&IDs, isometric drawings, and equipment specifications.
- Willingness to travel and work in various environments.
- Willingness to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative schedules.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
