Overview

Walter P Moore is seeking a well-prepared graduate from a top engineering school to join their Construction Engineering Services team, which is part of the Structures Group. The role involves working on projects for contractors and steel fabricators, focusing on structural analysis, construction sequencing, and temporary structure design.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and validate structures at different stages of construction.
  • Develop construction sequencing for complex structures.
  • Analyze and design temporary structures to support construction.
  • Design steel connections.

Requirements

  • Master's in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural.
  • EIT certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Tekla and Building Information Modeling (BIM) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strength in steel design and structural analysis.
  • SAP 2000 modeling experience.
  • Work experience/internships with contractors, steel fabricators, or steel erectors strongly preferred.
