Overview
The Maintenance Technician at PBNA is responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of packaging line and blending area equipment to maximize efficiency. The role requires mechanical and electrical skills to ensure smooth operations and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all parts and equipment on the packaging line and blending areas.
- Monitor packaging operations and suggest mechanical or electrical changes to increase efficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance on various equipment including fillers, cappers, and conveyors.
- Calibrate level and conductivity probes using Wonderware software and make minor program changes as needed.
- Write and complete work orders in a timely manner while adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Model safe practices and ensure compliance with Food Safety, GMP Procedures, HSE, and 5S requirements.
- Work with Safety, Continuous Improvement, and Quality Leaders to address defects.
Requirements
- Mechanical skills and experience in maintenance, burning and welding operations, plumbing, and machining.
- Electrical skills to understand relay logic, electrical schematics, and troubleshoot AC and DC circuits.
- Proficient in operating shop equipment such as lathe, end mill, and welder.
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work overtime, weekends, and off-shifts.
- Strong communication skills and ability to take on multiple roles and tasks.
- Demonstrated initiative and leadership capabilities.
