Overview

The Aluminum Door Fabricator role involves transforming raw glass or aluminum materials into finished products while ensuring quality and safety. The position is located in Atlanta, GA, and offers competitive pay and benefits starting on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Transform raw glass or architectural aluminum materials into finished products.
  • Transport materials including glass to expedite the production process.
  • Operate machinery such as automated cutting tables and CNC machinery.
  • Measure and cut glass sheets using hand tools or computerized cutters.
  • Read and interpret sketches, blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Visually inspect glass for defects and verify dimensions.
  • Safely load, unload, and transport heavy glass panes.
  • Perform edge work to remove sharp edges and achieve desired aesthetics.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of shop equipment.
  • Conduct quality inspections of glass and operating equipment.
  • Perform different job functions when needed.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 1-2 years of glass or aluminum fabrication, carpentry, or a related manufacturing field.
  • Requires a blend of technical precision, physical stamina, and the ability to operate specialized machinery.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read sketches and operate cutting and polishing equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours and lift/move heavy glass panels up to 75lbs independently.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Basic math and computer skills.

Additional Information

  • Pay is $18.06 per hour.
  • Day shift hours are from 6am to 2:30pm with overtime as needed.
  • Located at 5550 Westfield Dr. Atlanta, GA 30336.
  • Eligible for monthly production bonus.
