Overview

The supervisor will oversee shift production activities, ensuring coordination with various departments and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role requires knowledge of machinery and welding processes, along with the ability to manage and train junior employees effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee shift production activities with junior employees.
  • Interact with stores, quality control, and related departments.
  • Ensure safety, 5S, and general discipline are maintained.
  • Coordinate with planning to ensure daily output meets plan vs actual.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to the monthly production and revenue plan.
  • Handle employees based on their skills.
  • Manage end-to-end handling of production activities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of machinery, welding, and assembly of valve components.
  • Familiarity with drawings, process layouts, and basic materials.
  • Knowledge of testing and interaction with third-party inspectors.
  • Understanding of lean concepts such as JIT, Kanban, SMED, and VSM.
  • Mandatory knowledge in various welding techniques including SMAW, TIG, MIG, plasma transferred arc welding, and submerged arc welding.
