Overview

C&W Services is seeking an Industrial Welding & Pipefitting Technician to focus on repair and fabrication of pipe, sheet, and structural assemblies in manufacturing facility environments. The company is a leader in maintenance and janitorial programs for various facilities.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on tanks, vessels, piping systems, and structural systems.
• Rig and lift equipment, tools, parts, and assemblies according to policy.
• Work without supervision on assigned tasks.
• Layout and fabricate new and replacement piping systems.
• Install valves and related piping equipment.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance in conformance with established standards.
• Read blueprints and interpret isometric diagrams.
• Be certified to B31.1 and B31.3 Pipe Welding Code in 6-G position in carbon and stainless steel.
• Weld components and assemblies using various welding processes.
• Use tools and machines to size material and prep threaded pipe.
• Conduct tests on welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality.
• Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances using precision measuring instruments.
• Remove rough spots from work pieces using grinders or scrapers.
• Develop templates and work aids for assembly and welding operations.
• Work from elevated areas utilizing fall protection equipment.
• Operate heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts and lifts.
• Work in confined spaces as required.
• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with company and customer regulations.
• Maintain personal tools and document a personal tool list.
• Meet physical requirements of the job.
• Complete administrative duties accurately and timely.

Requirements

• Welding Certificate required.
• 3-5 years of Industrial Pipe Fitting, Pipe Welding, and Repairs experience.
• 0-5 years of education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.
• Must have a current valid driver's license.

• Location: Eddyville, IA
• Work hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00 am-4:30 pm.
• $3000 Sign-on Bonus or Relocation Assistance for qualified candidates.
• Weekly pay on Fridays.
