Overview

C&W Services is seeking a Welding & Pipefitting Technician in Eddyville, IA, to focus on the repair and fabrication of pipe, sheet, and structural assemblies in manufacturing environments. The company is a leader in maintenance and janitorial programs, ensuring client facilities run smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on tanks, vessels, piping systems, and structural systems.
  • Rig and lift equipment, tools, parts, and assemblies according to policy.
  • Work without supervision on assigned tasks.
  • Layout and fabricate new and replacement piping systems and install valves and related equipment.
  • Weld components and assemblies using various welding processes.
  • Use tools such as plasma machines, acetylene torches, and band saws to size material.
  • Inspect welded surfaces for quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Decipher engineering drawings and specifications for layout and assembly.
  • Operate heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts and lifts.
  • Work in confined spaces and on elevated areas using fall protection.
  • Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with company and customer regulations.
  • Maintain personal tools and meet physical job requirements.
  • Complete administrative duties accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • AA degree in Welding preferred, but not required.
  • 0-5 years of Industrial Pipe Fitting, Pipe Welding, and Repairs experience.
  • 0-5 years of education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.
  • Must have a current valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret isometric diagrams.
  • Certification to B31.1 and B31.3 Pipe Welding Code in 6-G position in carbon and stainless steel.
