Overview

BLUvera is seeking a Carpenter responsible for the construction and repair of wood and wallboard fixtures in compliance with local building codes and general construction principles.

Responsibilities

  • Set up trailers.
  • Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine material requirements and measure dimensions.
  • Build decks, stairs, roofs, and other temporary structures; install shelves, setup tool trailers/conex’s, silt fences/straw bales, and setup site per erosion control plan.
  • Hand-set forms and assemble gang forms.
  • Assist journeyman and foreman with shooting grades and elevations.
  • Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect prefabricated materials.
  • Perform concrete and rough carpentry including hand set walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural concrete decks, drywall, finish carpentry, doors, frames, hardware, millwork, and cabinetry.
  • Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels; perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years carpentry experience.
  • Trade or technical school certification/diploma preferred.
  • Ability to work with precision, visualize solid objects from drawings, and speak and understand English.
  • Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, and effective communication including active listening and openness to diverse input and feedback.
  • Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
