Overview

Vulcan Materials Company is the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of aggregates-based construction materials. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in installing and maintaining production machines while prioritizing safety and contributing to a dynamic culture that values career development and diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safety in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test equipment.
  • Perform maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Attend and successfully complete a three-year apprenticeship program.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of welding materials, properties, and various types of metals.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with welding, brazing, arc-welding, and cutting tasks.
  • Willingness to work overtime and in all weather conditions.
  • Some knowledge of industrial tools and their maintenance.
