Job Description

Overview

The Welder position requires the ability to weld components in various positions and perform maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Candidates should possess good manual dexterity and be able to work in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Work in high or cramped spaces requiring awkward positions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance repairs according to procedures.
  • Prepare the welding area and weld joints.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints.
  • Maintain daily reports as required by company regulations.
  • Monitor the welding process and make necessary adjustments.
  • Operate forklift and man lift as needed.
  • Assist in maintenance and organization of welding equipment and work area.
  • Comply with all safety, health, environmental, and company policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent training and work experience.
  • Entry-level welding skills with preferred high school or recreational welding experience.
  • Knowledge to understand oral and written technical instructions.
  • Ability to operate welding equipment to join metal components.
  • Excellent driving skills and ability to maintain customer relations.
  • Good mechanical skills and knowledge of raw materials and production processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Additional Information

  • Travel to other facilities is required- 60-70%.
  • Must be able to work required overtime and flexible work schedule.
  • Employee is outdoors and exposed to varying weather conditions.
