Overview

Clayton Controls is a leading provider of automation solutions, focusing on motion control, robotics, and industrial automation components. The Panel Builder position involves assembling and wiring Industrial Control Panels and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Review job materials against Staging Report, BOM, Assembly Drawing, and Schematic for completeness.
  • Layout, drill and tap panel based on Assembly Drawing.
  • Install hardware content based on Assembly Drawing.
  • Layout, drill, punch and cut enclosure based on Assembly Drawing.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring of control panels based on Schematic Package.
  • Perform testing of customer orders using DMM for point-to-point verification of panel circuitry.
  • Perform troubleshooting of basic pneumatic and/or electrical circuits.
  • Keep work station and work area clean at all times.
  • Understand and adhere to company rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma is a must.
  • 2 years minimum industry experience as a Panel Builder is a must.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools and gauges.
  • Able to follow operation, shop assembly SOPs and general work instructions (verbal and written).
  • Able to read and interpret basic electrical schematics, fluid power diagrams, and/or assembly drawings.
  • Able to inspect completed assemblies, as instructed in shop assembly SOPs.
  • Able to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to work overtime, as required.
