Overview

Pen Manufacturing is a prominent player in the sheet metal fabrication industry, seeking an experienced Laser Operator for the 2nd shift to transform raw materials into high-precision components using advanced laser cutting technology.

Responsibilities

  • Configure laser cutting machines based on detailed work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Run laser cutting machines to create parts from metal, plastics, and other materials.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of the laser equipment and adjust settings for optimal results.
  • Quickly address any technical or operational issues to minimize downtime.
  • Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Certification in machinery operation, CNC programming, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Prior experience with laser cutting machinery, CNC equipment, or similar roles is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of laser cutting machinery and basic maintenance.
  • Comfortable standing for long periods and handling various materials.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
