Overview

CB&I delivers integrated storage and asset-management solutions that help customers operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. The Steel Plate Roll Operator sets up and operates roll forming and rolling equipment to bend and shape metal plates according to specifications, ensuring product accuracy and supporting production tasks while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate plate rolling machines (3-roll, 4-roll) to roll steel into required shapes and dimensions.
  • Ability to roll cones and cylinders.
  • Measure arcs, diameters, and straightness using templates, gauges, and measuring tools.
  • Conduct daily machine inspections and troubleshoot equipment or material issues during operation.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment to move materials.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
  • Follow CB&I Safety Rules, PPE requirements and Shop Policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
  • Proven experience operating steel plate roll machine or similar metal forming machinery.
  • Knowledge and ability to read blueprints and tape measure.
  • Ability to work with a variety of hand tools including angle grinders, drills and polishers.

Additional Information

  • Standard work schedule is 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday), 10 hours a day.
  • Mandatory Overtime on weekends based on production needs.
