Johnson Controls is a global leader in thermal management and building systems, focusing on energy efficiency and decarbonization. The Fire Sprinkler Installer role involves the installation, service, and repair of various fire protection systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair fire protection systems including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam suppression systems.
  • Execute the installation project plan including equipment delivery and forecasting installation hours.
  • Anticipate potential challenges and secure all tools and equipment at the end of each work period.
  • Allocate work as a team leader and address discrepancies with the construction manager.
  • Resolve problems through research of multiple alternatives and maintain proper documentation.
  • Review project drawings to perform installation activities according to specifications.
  • Work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer and job requirements.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform inspections as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of documented experience in the installation and service of fire sprinkler systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor including carrying and moving equipment weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to work in difficult positions such as climbing ladders and working in crawl spaces.
  • Read and understand construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to adhere to and implement safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.
