Overview

The Marzetti Company manufactures and sells specialty food products, including well-known retail brands and foodservice supplies. The Maintenance Technician G2 role involves meeting expectations across various maintenance levels and performing essential repair and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Complete lockout/tagout training and demonstrate the ability to identify lock locations and follow procedures.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Assist other maintenance techs on projects and rebuilds.
  • Perform repair work on production equipment, processing equipment, and buildings/grounds as assigned.
  • Start and safely stop key equipment, including carton erectors and fillers.
  • Adjust box erectors/closers for specific carton sizes.
  • Disassemble and reassemble filler pumps using the correct O-rings.
  • Change lidding rolls and install heater assemblies correctly.
  • Make minor adjustments to carton divider inserters.
  • Perform PM duties as assigned with minor supervision.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues in production equipment.

Requirements

  • Must meet the preliminary qualifications for Maintenance Technician level G2.
  • Ability to work regular shift hours, off-shift hours, and be on call as needed.
  • Experience with lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Ability to interpret basic machine diagrams.
