Overview

Tennant Company, a leader in the cleaning equipment industry with over $1B in revenue, is seeking a Field Mechanic to join their service team. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Tennant products at customer facilities, contributing to a cleaner, healthier, and safer world.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and resolve complex problems by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems and combustion engine problems.
  • Plan daily schedule and contact customers to schedule service activities.
  • Create and maintain records of all service activities and business reporting documentation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of Tennant Company property including vehicle, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and utilize proper PPE.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to support success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license plus meet Tennant Company driving policy requirements.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing combustion engines.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in using hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
  • Familiarity with personal computers, MS Office Suite, and email.
