Overview

Epiroc is seeking a Welder for their Ooltewah, TN location. The role involves operating cranes, welding products, and maintaining welding tools and equipment to meet quality and production standards, while fostering an innovative and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Layout, position, align and fit components into welding fixture as instructed.
  • Set-up gas-shield, mig-weld and weld parts to job specifications.
  • Read, interpret and understand blueprints and welding symbols to complete job assignments.
  • Use hand tools, clamps and grinders to perform job tasks.
  • Complete basic maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices.
  • Perform any other duties that fall within the employee’s capabilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in heavy duty machining/manufacturing environment, preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
  • Demonstrated skill level of wire feed (MIG) welding.
  • Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
  • Ability to layout parts using weld fixtures.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.
