Overview

The Certified Welding Inspector will be responsible for teaching welding and fabrication processes to Vocational Team Members, developing effective communications and positive relationships while providing training in both small groups and live environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training on welding operations and techniques used within the Vocational Segment.
  • Provide training regarding fabrication processes and coach team members on safe task performance.
  • Support team members as needed.
  • Communicate information positively and effectively.
  • Create online, written, and live training curriculum and materials.
  • Develop, design, and build training props.
  • Perform Training Needs and Task Analysis.
  • Develop training materials following the ADDIE model.
  • Demonstrate how JDE2 is used.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint).
  • Accurately read a ruler to the 1/32" of an inch.
  • Demonstrate how to access and locate technical information in Pierce Truck Builder and ProPlanner.
  • Facilitate Level 1 and 2 Volterra High-Voltage training.
  • Work a flexible schedule as needed to cover training needs of different shifts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five (5) years welding experience with aluminum and steel.
  • Must possess a current CWI certification.
  • Must pass a weld test.
