Overview

Quixote is a leading provider of production services for the entertainment industry, offering rental of production trailers, trucks, lighting, and grip equipment. The Maintenance Technician role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on custom production trailers and specialty vehicles, requiring strong electrical, plumbing, carpentry, fabrication, and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain custom trailers and RVs.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain RV appliances, LPG system, and A/C system.
  • Install electrical wiring and balance electrical load and entertainment and satellite systems.
  • Repair and maintain cabinetry.
  • Install, repair, and maintain braking and towing systems.
  • Diagnose issues and determine the best course of action to remedy problems.
  • Provide and document complete diagnostic tests and repair/replacement services.
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs/replacements.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
  • Communicate regularly with the fleet management team on issues and project completion.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspection.
  • Assemble RV structure, wall, and roof, fresh water/waste plumbing.
  • Perform basic welding tasks.
  • Plan workload according to oral and written directions and complete assignments on or before the scheduled completion date.
  • Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the lot and building.
  • Process all paperwork regarding equipment damage and report to management.
  • Dispose of hazardous waste materials properly.
  • Follow and adhere to safety rules, regulations, and proper equipment use.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of repair and maintenance experience and/or other relevant experience.
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting and wiring, plumbing repair and installation, basic mechanical repairs, carpentry or cabinetry, welding or fabrication, HVAC or appliance repair.
  • Be flexible to support rental operations during non-business hours.
  • Possess basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Be able to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Be detail-oriented and able to meet or exceed deadlines.
  • Have knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in maintenance and repair.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Have working knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Be reliable with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Additional Information

  • Physical demands include lifting, pushing, or pulling at least 50+ pounds.
  • Regularly working in outside weather conditions with exposure to temperature extremes.
  • Noise level in work environment is usually loud.
