Overview

Swissport is a global leader in aviation services, providing Ground Handling, Cargo Handling, and Passenger Services to over 300 million passengers annually. The Pipeline Utility Operator is responsible for operating various vehicles and ensuring the integrity and maintenance of fuel facilities in accordance with regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and report hydrant system pits daily for leaks and cleanliness.
  • Conduct daily visible inspections and report on Emergency Fuel Shutoff Stations (EFSO).
  • Safely dispose of waste fuel.
  • Inspect and perform minor repairs of the EFSO system components.
  • Perform daily fuel density and fuel quality testing.
  • Control hazardous liquid spills and minimize potential environmental damages.
  • Ensure integrity of PHX Fuel Facilities through inspection and maintenance.
  • Document integrity of fuel facilities by completing inspection and maintenance documents.
  • Perform minor repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on fuel systems.
  • Complete corrosion control for pipeline and fuel facility components.
  • Conduct inspections including cathodic protection testing and valve exercising.
  • Disassemble, assemble, repair, and/or replace fuel system components.
  • Inspect and report deficiencies throughout all fuel systems.
  • Coordinate, document, and report work accomplished.
  • Immediately report major findings of fuel leaks or corrosion to management.
  • Assist with clean-up of fuel spills.
  • Clean and maintain the work area.
  • Improve operations and work collaboratively to provide quality customer service.
  • Train new employees as directed by supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisors or management.
