Overview

Swissport is a global leader in aviation services, providing Ground Handling, Cargo Handling, and Passenger Services to over 300 million passengers annually. The Pipeline Operator is responsible for the inspection, repairs, and maintenance of fuel facilities and hydrant systems in accordance with established procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Accept petroleum products into storage facilities according to ATA 103 procedures.
  • Train new employees as directed by Supervisors.
  • Ensure quality control of fuel and facility inspections.
  • Maintain fuel inventories.
  • Perform periodic inspections according to ATA 103 and NFPA standards.
  • Assist mechanics with repairs and maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
  • Assist with calibration of equipment.
  • Work on loading racks and fuel storage equipment.
  • Update records and inspection forms.
  • Inspect equipment and report discrepancies.
  • Perform quality control of fuel according to ASTM and ATA standards.
  • Assist with cleanup of fuel spills and maintain the work area.
  • Adhere to all Swissport policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Good verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to pass the Tank Farm Operator math skills test and color blindness test.
  • Complete knowledge of the fuel facility and hydrant system.
  • Ability to climb stairs and work at elevations.
  • Ability to respond to and work in emergency conditions.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
