Overview
IES is hiring Structural Welders for both 1st and 2nd Shift positions in Tulsa, OK. This role involves performing MIG and Flux Core welding on structural steel components in a manufacturing environment, offering steady work and long-term stability.
Responsibilities
- Weld structural steel subframes, supports, brackets, and assemblies using MIG and Flux Core processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare materials through grinding, cleaning, positioning, and basic fit-up.
- Inspect completed welds for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain production schedules while meeting quality expectations.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of welding or fabrication experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MIG and Flux Core welding.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and weld symbols.
- Basic measuring and fabrication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to pass a Company-administered Plate Weld Test.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing environments is a plus.
