Overview

Valmont is seeking a motivated Structural Welder to join their Global Utility Division, where they will contribute to advancing agricultural productivity and vital infrastructure. This position involves welding metal components to fabricate or repair products according to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural welding operations by fusing metal components using arc welding processes.
  • Interpret blueprints and written specifications to determine operation sequence.
  • Move pole shafts and materials using an overhead crane.
  • Participate in department safety initiatives and demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Learn and apply Valmont fitting processes within the first 6–12 months of employment.

Requirements

  • One month of previous hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication or professional environment.
  • Successful completion of an internal welding test.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
  • Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters.
