Overview

Bodycote is the world’s largest provider of thermal processing services, employing thousands of skilled staff globally. The Heat Treater C position in Roselle, NJ involves performing essential heat treatment functions under the direction of the Production Manager to meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with operations, control, and monitoring of heat treating and related equipment.
  • Prepare work for processing; load and unload furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
  • Bring any unusual problem or irregularity to the attention of the supervisor.
  • Practice and promote safety and good housekeeping.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by the position.
  • Care for and treat customer inventory safely to prevent loss or damage.
  • Report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, and accept constructive criticism.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder to satisfy ITAR compliance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum six months experience in heat treating.
  • Working knowledge of metallurgy and temperatures is necessary.
  • May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required.

Additional Information

  • This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus.
  • The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 1:30pm to 10pm.
  • This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay.
