Overview
GE Aerospace is seeking a Tig Welder for their Lynn, MA facility to perform layout, set-up, and welding on aircraft engine components, with opportunities for career advancement and training for necessary certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform layout, set-up, and welding on a variety of aircraft engine component parts and assemblies.
- Work with exotic materials for critical parts in commercial and military aircraft.
- Achieve necessary certifications through training.
- Ensure quality and efficiency levels in welding processes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 1 year of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment or completion of a welding co-op or course.
- Must pass initial welding skills demonstration.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Distance vision of 20/30 and near vision ability to read Jaeger No. 2 type at 16 inches.
- Ability to lift and manipulate fixtures and component hardware up to 25 lbs.
