Overview

Fire Escape Services Network is hiring skilled tradespeople including Ironworks-Fabricators, Wood Balcony Carpenters, Painters, and Home Inspectors for contract work in Boston and New England. The company offers consistent work and a variety of roles in building restoration, with a focus on exterior egress systems.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and replace fire escape components including stairs, platforms, railings, and brackets.
  • Perform painting and maintenance tasks such as prep, scraping, rust treatment, and waterproofing.
  • Inspect and repair wood balconies and exterior egress systems, including framing and rot repair.
  • Provide welding and fabrication services as subcontract partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of trade experience preferred, especially in fire escape, ironwork, or balconies.
  • Valid driver's license required (MA or CA depending on work location).
  • Background check required.
  • Must complete W-9 / 1099 forms.
  • References and a proven track record are necessary.
  • Must sign the Independent Contractor Agreement.
  • General Liability and Workers Comp insurance required.
