GE Vernova is seeking Tig Welder-Intermediate Level candidates for their Gas Power Manufacturing plant in Greenville, SC. The company focuses on providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions while promoting a safety-first environment for its employees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, arrange, fit, and assemble materials using tig welding processes.
• Assess weld parameter inputs and make adjustments during welding.
• Interpret and execute production using drawings and blueprints.
• Complete necessary paperwork and computer entries accurately and timely.
• Perform precision measurements using tools like micrometers and calipers.
• Collaborate in a team environment focused on lean manufacturing and safety.
• Take ownership of compliance, safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Utilize computer programs to enter part data and log time.
• Use work instructions and set-up sheets to set up parts for welding.
• Be available to work overtime and occasional weekend shifts.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited welding program or 2-5 years of industrial welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform shop math.
• Proficient in TIG (GTAW) welding and able to pass the weld test.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift (2 PM – 10:30 PM, M-F) and overtime.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear PPE.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
