Overview

As a Welder/Fabricator at T E C Industrial in Greenville, South Carolina, you will be responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding various components to assemble structural forms according to blueprints and welding knowledge. The role requires expertise in welding techniques and safety practices in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components.
  • Assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, and pressure vessels.
  • Select equipment and perform layout, assembly, and welding.
  • Monitor and maintain building systems as assigned.
  • Execute various minor construction projects as required.
  • Maintain equipment and clean around workstations.
  • Interface with supervisor or manager to give progress updates.
  • Work outdoors in the elements and in tight spaces.
  • Perform basic rigging practices and follow safety policies.

Requirements

  • Certified Welder with experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
  • Experience welding stainless steel.
  • Ability to bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts.
  • Must pass Client welding certification for various materials.
  • Experience in an industrial chemical environment preferred.
  • Set and adjust welding machines according to materials used.
  • Identify and resolve hazards associated with assignments.
  • Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
  • Check work to ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license.
