Overview

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Concrete Finisher who will perform complex carpentry tasks in concrete carpentry and finish carpentry on various construction projects. The role emphasizes the importance of inspired people and a collaborative culture in achieving building perfection.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex carpentry tasks in concrete carpentry and finish carpentry.
  • Set forms for concrete including foundations, SOG, and bulkheads.
  • Place concrete using various methods and perform basic finishing with floats and trowels.
  • Clean and maintain concrete and forming tools.
  • Install in-wall and roof blocking, safety railings, and temporary partitions.
  • Assist in the installation of doors, frames, and hardware.
  • Ensure compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and OSHA standards.
  • Show up ready to work when scheduled and communicate any absences or tardiness.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
  • Apprentice and/or Vocational/Technical/Trade training (Preferred).
  • 2+ years experience in specific trade (Required).
  • 2+ years commercial construction experience (Preferred).
  • Working knowledge of all concrete tools and carpentry hand tools.
  • Basic understanding of construction math principles.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely in a timely manner.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • May require use of respirator.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and in narrow workspaces.
