Overview

Walter P Moore is seeking a Senior Engineer in their Philadelphia office to perform structural computations and assist with design and construction tasks. The company specializes in solving complex structural and infrastructure challenges and offers a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural computations in the design and analysis of concrete, steel or other miscellaneous structures.
  • Create analysis models and interpret results for 2D and 3D structural frames.
  • Assist with construction administrative tasks, including site visits and shop drawing review.
  • Understand load paths for gravity and lateral loads and calculate applicable loads based on appropriate building codes.
  • Assist with design drawings, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, reports and other project deliverables while working with the structures team.
  • Prepare technical studies and reports.

Requirements

  • Master’s in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • 6 - 11 years of experience.
  • P.E. in Pennsylvania Required; candidates possess an S.E. in another state is preferred.
  • Experience with Revit, Rhino or Grasshopper is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational skills.
