Overview

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Rail & Transit Group in Philadelphia, PA. H&H is a nationally recognized, full-service infrastructure engineering firm delivering innovative solutions that move communities forward.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed plans and construction documents
  • Perform structural design calculations and analysis
  • Develop technical specifications and contract bid documents
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Lead site visits for condition inspections
  • Coordinate across disciplines and work in a team environment
  • Mentor and train junior staff

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • PE License required (PA or NJ preferred)
  • A minimum of eight years of Structural Engineering experience with a focus on bridge design (rail experience preferred)
  • Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design of structural projects
  • Experience with current FEM modeling software preferred
  • Local rail client base preferred (Amtrak, SEPTA, NJ TRANSIT)
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications
