Overview

At Johnson & Johnson, we are committed to healthcare innovation, aiming to develop smarter and less invasive treatments. We are currently seeking a Parts Fabricator Tech I in San Angelo, TX, to support our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Read diagrams, sketches, blueprints, operation manuals and manufacturing specifications related to assigned equipment.
  • Accurate record keeping via computer management systems and/or manual systems by inputting and retrieving maintenance data.
  • Follow current compliance regulations and standards.
  • Work in accordance with Ethicon environmental policies and procedures.
  • Independently recognize and solve problems, making critical decisions under pressure.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with and communicate well with others.
  • Maintain general housekeeping within the department, keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and notify supervisor when parts are needed.
  • Read, interpret and follow work instructions and training materials.
  • Pass and maintain training and certification examinations as required.
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of WORKKEYS with a score of 5 or higher on all ETHICON required modules GOLD Level.
  • Strong record of accomplishments with automated equipment is preferred.
  • Be capable of machining to tolerances of at least .005 inches.
  • Work from simple sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Understand blueprints for fabrication and repair of simple machine components.
  • Possess a good knowledge of shop math.
  • Use proper tools in the process of making finished parts.
  • Perform necessary bench work using proper tools and work to specified tolerances.

Additional Information

  • This full-time position supports a 24 hour, 7 day a week manufacturing operation.
  • The hourly rate is $28.34/hr.
