Overview

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Manufacturing Co-op for Spring 2027 to join their Manufacturing team in San Angelo, Texas. The role involves performing complex technical work related to the design, manufacture, and operation of structures, machines, and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
  • Follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices.
  • Ensure personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support for project planning, development, implementation, and modification.
  • Exercise independent judgment on some details of work.
  • Perform assignments that have complex objectives and require the investigation of multiple variables.
  • Work on complex conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
  • Include equipment design and development, test of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, and report preparation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of work experience.
  • Preferred areas of study include Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, Systems, Civil), Logistics, Chemistry, or Masters in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Mathematics, Operations, or equivalent.
  • Lean/Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
  • Understanding of common engineering analysis tools such as statistical process control.
  • Awareness of other engineering specialties and upstream stakeholders.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment effectiveness and manufacturing & maintenance excellence concepts.
  • Understanding of cost management and its importance for customers and consumers.
  • Basic knowledge of product costs and key levers that impact cost performance.
  • Ability to deliver clear oral and written communications around process improvement projects.
  • Organized and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Decision making and problem solving skills.
