The Welder IV position involves advanced welding responsibilities and training junior welders while contributing to innovative solutions in a supportive work culture.
Responsibilities
- Operate TIG, MIG, and Oxy Acetylene welding equipment and common shop tools.
- Train Welder I, Welder II, and Welder III.
- Develop welding projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assembly.
- Calculate requirements and determine appropriate welding techniques.
- Use measuring equipment for precise measurements.
- Cut stock for complex welded assemblies and frame assemblies.
- Fabricate miscellaneous welded assemblies and complex frame assemblies.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper handling of tools and equipment.
Requirements
- Advanced welding skills and expertise in TIG, MIG, and Oxy Acetylene welding.
- Ability to analyze work orders and engineering drawings.
- Experience with measuring equipment and shop tools.
- Capability to train and lead junior welders.
