The Level III NDT Inspector is responsible for maintaining the NDT program, training personnel, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and adhere to the Core Values and Behavior Code.
  • Utilize Level III NDT Certification in VT, PT & MT.
  • Train, examine, and certify NDT personnel.
  • Review technical specifications and customer requirements for NDT.
  • Develop quality control and inspection procedures.
  • Prepare technical reports from testing and quality investigations.
  • Perform internal and external audits for compliance.
  • Track and review status of in-process rejections.
  • Act as a liaison with customers and vendors for NDT support.
  • Monitor compliance with the Quality Management System.
  • Inspect materials and finished goods for customer requirements.
  • Perform in-process inspections and conduct final reviews.
  • Evaluate new developments in the NDT field.
  • Responsible for dimensional layout of parts.
  • Utilize various standards for inspection including military and AWS standards.
  • Document and segregate non-conforming materials.
  • Support production in resolving day-to-day issues.
  • Perform calibration and maintenance on quality control equipment.
  • Interact with customer and government source inspectors.
  • Represent the company on field issues related to product quality.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree preferred or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  • 8+ years quality control experience with at least two years as a designated NDT Level II.
  • Level III NDT certification in VT, PT, & MT.
  • AWS Certified Weld Inspector preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of non-destructive testing and weld standards.
  • Advanced mathematical skills including trigonometry, geometry, and algebra.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Dependability, integrity, and professionalism are essential.
