Overview

The Welder position on the 2nd shift at Havis involves welding various metals and fabricating custom parts using specialized machines. Havis is a leading company in innovative mobility solutions, focusing on enhancing productivity and safety across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for welding various metals: stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel.
  • Welds and fabricates custom parts using machines including Millermatic 250 Mig Welder and Syncrowave 350 LX Tig Welder.
  • May involve other fabrication work such as fastener insertion, shearing, and milling as workload requires.
  • Executes work orders and engineering drawings.
  • Receives verbal orders to fabricate custom designed parts and products.
  • Receives written and verbal instruction on priority of orders.
  • Receives, checks, and handles raw material from inventory as needed.
  • Sets up for daily work according to production schedule and/or verbal instructions.
  • Checks parts, products, and machinery for defects.
  • Works at different workstations as job requires.
  • Maintains a clean safe work area.
  • Moves finished goods to other inventory or work areas.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must supply own basic hand tools.
  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Able to MIG and TIG weld up to ¼” steel and aluminum.
  • Ability to read and interpret quality documents and drawings.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Must regularly be able to lift and move from 50 to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing.
