Overview

Aggreko is seeking a Power Technician 2 in Bridgeport, NJ, to provide essential power solutions for various customers, from events to remote communities. The role involves maintenance and repair of power equipment, with opportunities for overtime and travel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and customer locations.
  • Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites, either independently or with other technicians.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-7 years of experience working on power generators equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
