Overview

PCC Aerostructures manufactures world-class assemblies and components for the global aerospace market, with over 35 plants worldwide and ambitious growth plans. The Machinist – Level 2 operates CNC machine cells and standalone machines, requiring basic setup and inspection skills.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with work orders and document job orders.
  • Ensure lot traceability.
  • Maintain tools and perform general inspection.
  • Set up machines including loading fixtures and tools.
  • Operate CNC machines and perform part loading.
  • Control machine operations and safety.
  • Perform in-process inspections and moderate complexity bench inspections.
  • Manage tool wear and ensure productivity and quality.
  • Read and fill check sheets.
  • Participate in machinist-related cross-training.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency of Machinist – Level 1 competencies.
  • Basic shop math skills.
  • Ability to read technical documentation and drawings after training.
  • Familiarity with hand measuring tools.
  • Ability to read and verify manufacturing order documentation.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Machinist certificate strongly preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience.
