Overview

The Fiberglass Technician 1 performs various skills related to fiberglass and plastic materials, including laminating and fabricating parts. This role requires hands-on work with tools and materials to create and repair items.

Responsibilities

  • Hand laminating fiberglass materials using a chopper gun.
  • Vacuum forming and bonding plastics such as ABS, kydex, polycarb, and plex.
  • Grinding fiberglass with power hand tools both in the shop and on rides.
  • Removing and repairing various materials and surfaces, including installing seatbelts and changing upholstery.
  • Fabricating pans from polyester resin and urethane foam.

Requirements

  • Ability to prepare a pattern and pull a tool or part.
  • Ability to assemble and install fabricated pans.
  • Basic knowledge of plastic materials, adhesives, and fasteners.
  • Four years of experience in fiberglass assembly and polyester resin hand laminating.
  • Good mechanical skills.

Additional Information

  • Position requires full availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
